Biography

I live in Tucson Arizona and have loved to draw and make things with clay since I was a child. I grew up in Colorado, NM, Dominica West Indies, and Arizona.

When I was a boy, around 8 years old, I was at my fathers Graphic Design office. He let me use a Radiograph pen. When I put that pen to paper and watched the ink flow out it was like magic for me. It was exciting that it didn’t need to be dipped or sharpened but allowed my uninterrupted ideas to spew onto the page. I did many drawings using pencils, markers and ballpoint pens. However, it was technical pens that became my favorite tool of expression when drawing.

I have always been inspired by nature both plants and animals. The variety and details in animals, plants in forests, jungles and deserts; their shapes, textures, colors, and intricate patterns are perhaps the biggest influence to my obsession with creating very intricately detailed art. For example, reptiles amaze me with their detailed scales and intriguing expressions.

Art is my passion more than any other work I have ever done. I feel compelled to create and often compare my need to make art as energy boiling up inside me like a volcano!
